The Hippo chairs are crafted from kiln-dried solid beech wood, treated with UV-protected and eco-friendly water-based paints. These paints not only safeguard the wood against outdoor elements but also preserve its natural texture and soft feel. The UV-resistant coating ensures that the wood’s natural beauty does not fade over time. The staining process offers a range of color options from light to dark shades.

For enhanced comfort, the seats and backs feature high-density foam and upholstery. Spare covers are available for purchase, and all fabrics are precision-cut using CNC machines for perfect fit and finish. A wide array of upholstery textiles is offered, including artificial leather, velvet, woven fabric, linen, genuine leather, bouclé, and nubuck. Customers can also provide their own materials for upholstery, subject to approval by 5A production standards.

To protect floors from damage during movement, the chairs are equipped with black polypropylene glides under the feet.
